What a great idea. My cousin with 2 children provided care for her mom who just lost her battle with cancer. It was difficult for the family because she was working and then spending a few housrs with her mom after work and then she was drained when she got home. I would suggest that you have some sort of option for caregiver support group and maybe someone there to deal with the children’s emotions through play or fun because all of the children are getting the leftovers at times and it may be a dying relative like my aunt. So the kids are having deep emotions about illness and how their mom is doing. I know my cousin’s 10 year old son was worried about both his mom and grandmother. I commend you. Therapy dogs are good for everyone.
