About Me
Short, blonde, strong, independent, funny, supportive, encouraging, thoughtful, stressed, happy, loving, busy, busy, busy. Just a few ways to describe me. I am proud to say that I am a full-time mom to three beautiful children and a wife to one of the world’s best church planters. Before all that I was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. I love Jacksonville. Both mine and my husband’s families are there and I love to go back “home” to visit. I went to University of North Florida where I studied health and wellness. I worked for the YMCA in Florida and North Carolina, taught PE and Health at a private school, worked as an assistant, and then finally arrived at motherhood. I did get married in there to my husband, Michael.
Michael has always known that he would work in full-time ministry, so when I married him, I knew that would be my calling as well. Youth ministry was our way of life for 10 years and then God began showing us that He had other things in store for us. We packed up and relocated to north Georgia to plant a church. Cartersville is now our home and home to Oak Leaf Church. God is alive and well here and working in so many ways.
Being a pastor’s wife and a mom is tough. Fortunately I have been blessed with a great network of girlfriends. They keep me grounded and encouraged. I by no means have all the answers to the many questions that we all face, but I do know that God has the answers and He is as close as a prayer.
